The Vice Dean for Student Services is accountable to the Dean of the College, with responsibilities for leading, coordinating, and facilitating student support services and welfare activities within the college.

Our Directorate plays a vital role in enriching the academic and personal lives of our students. We are committed to providing a wide range of student-centered services that support learning, well-being, leadership, and overall development.
The Vice Dean for Student Services oversees six key service structures, each with dedicated staff and coordinators who report directly to the Vice Dean for Student Services:

• College Library Service: – Mizan-Aman Health Science College provides library services through both manual and digital libraries to support students’ and staff learning, teaching, and research. The manual library offers a wide range of textbooks, reference materials, and journals, while the digital library gives access to e-books, online journals, and academic databases. Additional services include interlibrary loans, research support, quiet study areas, and orientation for new users. These services are essential in promoting academic excellence and evidence-based practice.
• Student Guidance and Counseling: – Mizan-Aman Health Science College provides student guidance and counseling services to support students’ academic success and overall well-being. The service includes academic advising, personal counseling, and psychological support to help students cope with academic challenges, personal issues, and emotional stress. A trained counselor is available to offer confidential support and guidance, contributing to a healthy and productive learning environment.
• Student Clinic and First Aid Center: – Mizan-Aman Health Science College operates a Student Clinic and First Aid Center to provide essential health services and emergency care. The clinic offers basic medical support, immediate first aid, and health advice for common illnesses and minor injuries. It is managed by a qualified health professional and plays a vital role in maintaining students’ health and safety on campus.
• College Photocopy Service: – Mizan-Aman Health Science College offers photocopy services to efficiently support academic and administrative activities. The service ensures quick and accessible document reproduction for departments and staff, helping facilitate teaching and office operations.
• Educational Medical Supplies Store: – Mizan-Aman Health Science College manages an Educational Medical Supplies Store to ensure the availability and proper distribution of medical supplies needed for health science education. The store supports both teaching and practical learning by providing essential materials for students and departments.
• College Student Council: – Mizan-Aman Health Science College’s Student Council promotes student leadership, participation, and representation, empowering students to actively engage in decision-making and contribute to campus life.

In addition to these core structures, the Directorate coordinates a wide range of duties and responsibilities, including:

• Arranging student clinical attachments in collaboration with academic departments, and Managing student housing and transportation during student clinical attachment in collaboration with the Procurement and Finance Directorates
• Overseeing skill laboratories and lecture room arrangements in partnership with departments and the Academic Affairs Vice Dean
• Facilitating access to student recreation areas, including the cafeteria and other leisure spaces
• Leading student clubs and extracurricular activities that foster leadership and personal growth
• Promoting awareness and enforcement of student regulations, and managing discipline issues in coordination with relevant bodies

We work in close coordination with other academic and administrative units to ensure every student receives the support and opportunities they need to succeed both in and outside the classroom.
